Doin’ It with JD Ryznar
Two of the greatest dudes ever created, JD Ryznar and David Lyons, made this pilot for Channel 101. It’s called Doin’ It with JD Ryznar. In this inaugural episode, Dave helps JD live his dreams of constructing a real-life bulletin board.
“Let’s get this doin’ done!”

Heat Vision and Jack & Channel 101 creator, Dan Harmon named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 50 Power Showrunners 2011. Nice.

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!
Yeeeaaaaa!
Great story about Channel 101 on NPR! I was going blog this on my own, but then I thought, “Let’s give Dave Seger some Tumblr burn?”
Channel 101 is one of the best things to ever happen to me. Although I was only involved in a few shows and the only pilot that I ever attempted got rejected, Channel 101 still fascinates me to this day. Listen to this story on NPR and then go straight to Channel 101.com and watch some amazing short films (Yacht Rock, cough…)

Blue Mountain State : Season 1
Created by Eric Falconer & Chris Romano (Romanski)
Channel 101 alumni Falconer & Romano have created a hilariously raunchy look at college football debauchery. Fellow 101ers JD Ryznar (Yacht Rock) and Drew Hancock (Gregory Shitcock, P.I.) are on the writing staff, and Rob Schrab (The Sarah Silverman Program) directs 2 episodes.
This show is hilarious. Falconer and Romanski have created some great characters (especially team captain, Thad Castle).
Watch this show immediately.

Movie trailer for the fictitious adult film “Barn Swallow”* that Dave and I made a few years ago in Hollywood. It was eventually featured in the Channel 101 show “Burnt Rubber,” which unfortunately never made it to Prime Time. We shot it using Hunter’s old VHS camera that he purchased for $100 on ebay. I think it “enhanced” the production value tenfold.
*I was frequenting Quentin Tarantino’s “Grindhouse Festival” at the New Beverly Cinema at the time of this production. My newfound love of Don Edmonds’ “Bare Knuckles” heavily influenced the creation of “Burnt Rubber.”
